Sandra Ewen

Sandra L. Ewen, 84 of Swansea, formerly of Cranston, passed away on Saturday May 16, 2026, with family by her side. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Florence St. George.

After graduation from Central Falls High School in 1959 and Flight Attendant School shortly afterwards Sandra worked for the Naval Observatory for 1 year followed by positions with the Swiss Embassy and the Washington Mint prior to returning home to Rhode Island. She then accepted a position as a teller with Industrial National Bank (Fleet National Bank) where she worked her way up to Vice President of Money Services. She retired from Fleet National Bank after 40 years of service.

Her free time was comprised of many activities, including knitting, reading, gardening, and playing cards as well as taking care of her Great-Grandchildren. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was always there to lend a helping hand. Vacations with family and extended family were cherished memories that she made a point of never missing.

She leaves her devoted daughter Cynthia Gracia, and her husband David. She was the cherished grandmother of Ashley Terpening and her husband Paul, and Andrew Fox. She was the adored great-grandmother of Colin Murphy, Chloe Murphy, Cassie Terpening, Amelia Fox, and Adalyn Fox.

Her Mass of Christian Burial Will be held on Tuesday May 26, 2026, at 11:00 am at Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. VISITING HOURS will be from 8:30-10:00 am at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
