Sandra L. (Milewicz) Martin

of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at The Villages Regional Hospital in Florida.  Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Carmela (Gincastro) Milewicz.  Sandra earned a Bachelor’s of Arts from the University of Rhode Island.  Shortly after earning her teaching certificate she began her career as an English teacher at Coventry High School.  She then went on to have a successful career in sales prior to her retirement in 2016.

She is survived by her son Alexander L. Martin and his wife Audra of Orlando, FL, and her daughter Emily S. Martin of Wernersville, PA.  Sandra was the cherished grandmother of Amber and Mia Silvestri.  She was also the dear sister of Carol Bicknell of Watch Hill, RI and loving aunt to Sherri Bready of Greenwood, MS and Jonathon Bickenell of West Newton, MA.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS: Thursday MORNING 9:00-10:00 a.m.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Rhode Island SPCA.
