Sandy R. "Dick" Delfino, Jr.

85, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at home. He was the loving husband of Ilse (Leib) Delfino for sixty-two years. Born in Johnston, he was a son of the late Sandino Delfino Sr., and the late Clara (Cerrito) Delfino. He was the president and co-founder of Delfino Corporation. Mr. Delfino was a US army veteran, serving during the Korean War.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Gale (Delfino) Breckel of North Kingstown, Janet (Delfino) Colacone of Cranston, Richard Delfino and his wife Mariann of North Kingstown and Robert Delfino and his wife Lisa of Cranston.  Sandy was the cherished grandfather of Alyssa Delfino, Nicholas Delfino, Brandi Colacone, Morgan Johnson, Ariana Delfino and Daria Delfino. He was the brother of Arthur Delfino of Scituate, Gloria Castelli of Cranston, Edward Delfino of Glocester and the late Ronald Delfino. Sandy was the father in-law to the late Robert Breckel.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Apostle’s Church, 800 Pippin Orchid Road, Cranston. Visiting hours will be held Saturday morning from 9:00-10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, (RI Chapter APDA), P.O.
