With sadness, love, and profound gratitude, the family of Sangha “Sean” Daravikchay announces his passing on August 9, 2021, at the age of 4 9 after a valiant battle with lung cancer . His battle showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile and Sean came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. Born in Bukorborey Battambang, Cambodia . He r esettled in Providence in 1980 as a refugee at a young age . H e was the son of the late Chhay Daravikchay . He is survived by his loving father Theap Daravikchay , youngest sibling to Viphar “Nom” Kong , Sanam Daravikchay, Sama Daravikchay, his devoted wife Mary Nhem, two sons, Sean Adrien, and Christian Romeo. He was a loving father, husband, uncle, nephew, and cousin. Sean was affectionately known for his immense love for his family, friends, and community.

He was proud of his Cambodian heritage , embodied the best of the Khmer culture and a compassionate Buddhist with his kindness, charisma, humo r and generous spirit. Sean had a big heart and a warm gentle smile to match. Growing up he was really into his hair and was n icknamed “Pretty Boy Sean . ” His charming personality was contagious to everyone he met. A culinary enthusiast , his love and appreciation for food was known to all. He was a family man and truly lived courageously and wholeheartedly.

A Celebration of Sean’s Life will be held on Friday, August 13th, 2021 from 5PM to 8PM , His memorial and burial services will be held on Saturday, August 14 th , 2021 beginning with a Buddhist prayer service at 8AM at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY , 1278 Park Ave, Cranston, RI 02910.
