Sarah A. 'Sally' (Magill) Szumita

73, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at RI Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard W. Szumita. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Robert A. and Mary Alice (Carr) Magill. Sally was a Certified Dental Assistant for the office of the late Dr. Joseph J. Fishbein. Sally's two greatest passions were her family and faith. Sally was constantly on the go, visiting her children and grandchildren throughout Maine, Massachusetts and New Jersey. She was especially happy when her whole family would gather at Bonnet Shores each summer. Sally was also very active in her community of Christ the King Parish, where she served in numerous ministries. In recent years, she had opportunities to travel, and she especially enjoyed her trip to Ireland.
She is survived by her loving children Richard Szumita and his wife Lauren of NJ, Mary Aube and her husband Timothy of ME, Andrew Szumita and his wife Lisa of MA, Thomas Szumita and his wife Lauren J. of MA and Paul Szumita and his wife Leah of MA. She was also the cherished grandmother of Molly, Kelly, Sally, Will, Maggy, Samuel, Charlie, Abigail, Olivia, Abraham, Mack and Maeve; and dear sister of R. Thomas Magill of Pawtucket, Timothy C. Magill of Narragansett and J. Michael Magill of Pawtucket. Sally was also the sister of the late Mary Waterhouse.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11 am in Christ the King Parish. Burial will take place in Mount Saint Mary's Cemetery, 661 Prospect St., Pawtucket. VISITING HOURS: Sunday 4-8 pm in the Nardolillo Funeral Home SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd.
