Shirley B. (Kieker) DeGenova
89, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Monday January 25, 2016 at the Scandinavian Home in Cranston. She was the beloved wife of the late John DeGenova. Born in Milwaukee, WI she was a daughter of the late Charles and Della (Kelpin) Kieker. Shirley was employed at the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for many years until her retirement in 1989. Later in her life, when it was clear that she could no longer live alone safely and comfortably, we found The Scandinavian Home a respite for her. Shirley found a way to truly make it her home.
She is survived by her loving children, Judi Braman and her husband Dr. Sidney, Bev Wysocki and her husband Tim, Jean Holdeman and her husband Robert, and John C. DeGenova and his wife Cheryl. Shirley also leaves behind 6 cherished grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
