Shirley D. (Mann) Higham

81, of North Providence, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Golden Crest Nursing Home, North Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late James Higham, Jr. Born in Providence; she was the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Rondeau) Mann. Shirley was a Harvard graduate and a practicing Psychologist for many years until her retirement.

She is survived by her loving children, Thomas Parent and his wife Lorraine of TN, Diane Nickson and her husband James Rose of Charlestown, Linda Paige and her husband Jon of CT, her step children, Ernest Higham of VA, Angela DesCoteax of Cranston and Elizabeth Randall and her husband Johnathan of North Providence. She was also the cherished grandmother of 7, step grandmother of 7, great grandmother of 8 and step great grandmother of 1; and dear sister of the late Robert Mann.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Cranston. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 am in the funeral home, followed by a graveside burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Pascoag.
