95, of North Providence, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015, her 95th birthday. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Campopiano, Sr. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Vito and Carmela (Faccenda) Romano.
Sophie was employed for a short time by Hedison Manufacturing in Lincoln. Her true passion was taking long walks around her hometown of North Providence. She especially enjoyed spending time at her summer home in Narragansett where she loved entertaining family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas Campopiano, Jr. and his wife Janice of Johnston, David Campopiano and his wife Roberta of Johnston, 5 cherished grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Domenic, Frank, Victor Romano, Ann Penza, Frances Granger, Mary Pezzi, Theresa Holan.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Church, Laurel Hill Ave., Providence. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Friday morning from 9 - 10 a.m.
