64, of Tampa, FL, formerly of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Michelle (McCloskey) Loiacono. Born in Boston, MA he was the son of Vita (Sullivan) Loiacono and the late Joseph Loiacono.
Besides his wife Michelle and mother Vita, he is survived by his three loving sons, Deryk Loiacono and his wife Tiffany of Tampa, FL, Adam Loiacono and his wife Lauren of Scottsdale, AZ, Justin Loiacono and his wife Kristen of Los Angeles, CA; cherished grandchildren, Riley, Ava and Theo Loiacono. He was the dear brother of Paul Loiacono and Susan Antoniazzi. Steve was also one of 35 first cousins.
Steve worked as a sales executive for Avid Products for the past 12 years. His passions and interests extended far beyond his career. He was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins, always cheering for his favorite team. He had a love for wine making and pizza making, he found great joy in sharing the results with family and friends. Stephen also enjoyed playing soccer and biking. Gardening and landscaping brought him peace and satisfaction, allowing him to create beauty in his surroundings.
One of Stephen's great joys in life was coaching his sons' little league baseball teams as well as watching his sons play soccer. However, perhaps his proudest accomplishment was being a “Papa”— a role he cherished deeply, bringing him immeasurable pride and happiness.
