Susan Vescera, born January 9, 1959, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Susan was the youngest daughter of William and Eleanor DiSandro and will be remembered most for her sharp wit, her boundless love for her family, unforgettable holiday dinners, and a lifelong affection for family trips - most notably to Disney World.
She was a proud and loving mother to her children Nicholas Vescera and his husband Eric Vescera, Brandon Vescera, and Gregory Vescera, and a cherished Nana to Mara, Cora, and Bella who brought her immense pride and joy.
Susan was previously married to Edward Vescera, the devoted father of her three children. She later shared 24 loving years with Nicola (Nick) Ricci, and embraced his children Victor, and Christina, her husband Rodney and their daughter Ariella—as her own.
She is also survived by her sister Deborah Costa and brother William DiSandro; her niece Robin Santurri and her husband Greg Hall, nephew Christopher Costa, niece Rachel and great‑nephews Tyler and Gavin. Susan was predeceased by her beloved sister Beverly and brother‑in‑law Robert Santurri of Cranston.
Susan lived life unapologetically as herself. Her strength, determination, humor, and unmistakable individuality showed up in even the smallest details. Those traits became cherished parts of family stories and everyday moments.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, March 21st, at 9:30 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Mary's Church, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Saturday morning 8:30-9:30 am. Burial is kindly omitted.
