of Providence, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Paula M. (Barletta) Coletta. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Sylvester A. and Amelia (Seneca) Coletta.
Sully was the owner and President of Coletta & Kaplan Furniture, Inc. and was the Manager of Big Top Flea Market in Providence. He was a WW-II U.S. Army veteran; and a Fourth Degree member of St. Anthony Council No. 1618, Knights of Columbus, and Past President of St. Anthony Club, Inc., both in Lincoln, RI.
He was the devoted father of Sylvester “Chick” Coletta (Carmen) of Boynton Beach, FL, Michael Coletta (Bonnie) of Coventry, Sharon A. Abood (John) of Providence, Renee Grasso of Cranston and the late David M. Coletta (Maureen) of North Providence; loving grandfather of Tammy, Kevin, Steven, Bradford, Ryan, Joseph, Sarah, Anthony and Tayla; loving great-grandfather of eight; and dear brother of the late Agnes Marcantonio and Rose “RoRo” Cortellesso. Sully was the loving uncle of Mark Marcantonio, Judy Campisi, Connie DeGiulio and the late Marcia Grossi.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Augustine’s Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence at 10 a.m. Entombment with military honors will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
