Teresa De Jesus Reyes, of Pawtucket, born on August 27, 1966, in the beautiful Dominican Republic, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025, in Providence, surrounded by her beloved family. A devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Teresa lived a life characterized by her unwavering faith, boundless love, and indomitable spirit. Teresa was diagnosed in 2023 with cancer; she fought valiantly for the last two years through all her treatments.
As a long-time manufacturing assistant at Antaya Technologies, Teresa dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her career, earning respect for her dependability and her nature as a caregiver, always ready to lend a helping hand. Her positivity was palpable; she approached every challenge with a warm smile, never complaining, and her kind-heartedness made her a cherished figure among colleagues and friends alike.With one year of college education, Teresa exemplified that a person's qualities are not merely measured by academic achievements but by the impact they leave on the hearts of those around them.
She was a devout Catholic, rooted deeply in her faith, always carrying her rosary and praying often. This profound spirituality guided her actions and enriched her relationships, particularly with her family.Teresa's pride and joy were her grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and adored without reservation. The bonds she formed with them were filled with warmth and affection, leaving an indelible mark on their lives. She took immense pleasure in sharing memories, laughter, and life lessons with them, embodying the role of a nurturing grandmother.
Her culinary talents were legendary, as she was an accomplished cake baker and decorator. Each cake she created not only looked exquisite but also tasted divine, making her a beloved presence at every family celebration where her creations were in demand. Rumored to possess the best empanadas, Teresa's passion for cooking brought her family together around the table, where love and laughter flourished.
Teresa leaves behind a legacy of compassion and resilience. She is survived by her loving husband, Carlos Moura; her devoted daughters, Vanessa Arias and Stephanie Reyes (Ramon Maldonado); her stepsons, Dylan Moura (Chantel) and Derek Moura (Emily Rossi); her cherished grandchildren, Jeyron, Luna, and Amirah; and her mother, Maria Sanchez De Reyes , as well as her father, Leonidas Reyes. She is also survived by her brothers: Carlos Manuel Reyes Sanchez, Jose Martin Reyes Sanchez, Juan Sylvester Reyes Sanchez, Carlos Jose Reyes Sanchez, Luis Maximino Reyes Sanchez, and Leonel Santiago Reyes Sanchez; her sisters, Fatima Reyes Sanchez, Maria Iadina Reyes Sanchez, and Luz Delcarmen Reyes Sanchez; and several nieces and nephews who will forever hold dear the love she shared with them.
Remembering those who have passed before her, Teresa is preceded in death by her brother, Alexis Leonidas Reyes Sanchez, and her sisters, Marina Altagracia Reyes Sanchez and Bety Leticia Reyes Sanchez. Their memories live on through the stories, love, and hope that Teresa imparted to her family.
A Mass celebrating her life will be held on August 9, 2025, at St. Bartholomew Church, located at 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence, RI, starting at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Her burial will be private. Her family invites all who knew and loved Teresa to join them in honoring her remarkable life—a life rich with love, faith, and joyful memories that will continue to inspire all those fortunate enough to have crossed her path.

Devota hija, esposa, madre, hermana, abuela y amiga, Teresa vivió una vida caracterizada por su fe inquebrantable, su amor infinito y su espíritu indomable.
