Thelma Marandola

Thelma Marandola, 86 of West Warwick, passed away on Sunday August 16, 2026, with her family by her side. Born in Searcy, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Nancy (Smith) Stringfellow. She was the beloved wife of David Marandola.

Thelma was a homebody, that was perfectly content with a good book, often about simpler ways of life or watching her favorite cooking show. A rare quality she found great solace, in her time spent alone.

Besides her husband David, she leaves her three daughters Valerie Murphy and her husband Steve of Douglasville, GA, Michelle DiPrete-Rosen and her husband Peter, of Narragansett, and Deserie Demers and her husband Paul of Charlestown, RI. She was the grandmother of Morgan, Michael both of Ohio, and Ashley, Tony, Shannon, and Jack all of RI. She was the great grandmother of 10. She was the sister of Kay McClain and her husband Rick of Conway, AR. She was predeceased by a brother Alivs Stringfellow.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 10:00 am at St. John & James Church, 40 Washington St., West Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday morning from 8:00- 9 :00 am at the Nardolillo Funeral Home and Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. RI
