88, of Coventry, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Rhode Island Veterans Home, Bristol. He was the beloved husband of Irene G. (Archetto) Wolanski. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late John and Antoinette (Wnek) Wolanski. He was a US Army Air Force veteran serving during WW II. Ted was a mechanical engineer employed by various companies during his career. Most recently, he was employed as a senior engineer for United Nuclear Corp. of CT before retiring in 1995. He was an inventor, avid sportsman, sports fan, and a collector of antiques and memorabilia. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Pamela T. Voccola of Boynton Beach, FL, John T. Wolanski and his wife Lori of Cape Elizabeth, ME, and Wendy M. Wolanski of Coventry. He was the cherished grandfather of Gianna Voccola, Lisa and Joseph Wolanski. Ted was the brother of Edward J. Wolanski of Staunton, VA. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston.
