Theresa (Fusco) Di Salvia

84, of Cranston, and Bonnet Shores, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at home. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore "Sonny" M. Di Salvia. The two were always together; she went to meet him eleven years to the day after he passed. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Domenic and Elisabetta (Del Bonis) Fusco. Theresa, along with her late husband, were the co-owners of the former Exclusive Cleaning by Di Salvia in Esmond, where she worked for over twenty years before retiring in 1979. She loved God before all else and watched the Mass every day. After Him, family was most important and the door was always open to all.. Theresa was a master cook and was able to prepare any dish without a recipe, and make it taste delicious. She was an avid gardener, and had a true green thumb in every sense of the term. Theresa was well versed on a variety of topics, she knew everything and was always right. She was a member of the St. Mary's Ladies Auxiliary and the Italian Cultural Society. She is survived by her loving daughters, Betty J. Di Salvia of Cranston, and Lee Ann Di Salvia McWeeney and her husband Michael of East Greenwich. Theresa was the cherished grandmother of Michael Salvatore Di Salvia McWeeney. She was the sister of the late Josephine Ruggieri, Mary Mansolillo, Anne, Arthur, Frank, John, and Philip Fusco. Theresa was the sister-in-law of Betty Fusco of Cranston. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday morning 9-10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 964 Main Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
