Theresa (Toti) Silva

95, of Cheshire, CT formerly of Cranston, RI died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on May 8, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest Reposo Silva (Providence) and devoted mother to Ronald E. Silva, Cheshire, CT, Ann M. Casey, Wallingford, CT and the late Ernest R Silva of San Diego, CA. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of Vincenzo and Maria (Petronio) Toti and the eldest of five children: Ralph Toti who currently lives in Cranston;  the late Frank Toti, Sr., Benedetto (Benny) Toti and Vincent (Jimmy) Toti.    She leaves behind grandchildren Scott Casey and Caitlyn Majneber, their spouses Kelly and John, and one great grandchild.

As a young woman, Theresa worked at The Trifari Company and later at Monet Jewelry Company in Providence.  Her interests included reading, sewing, baking and cooking. Her small kitchen was a gathering place for family and friends who came together to share great food, laughter and love. This was her gift to all who knew her.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Monday at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Ave., Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on MONDAY MORNING from 9:00 – 10:00 am. In her memory and in lieu of flowers, the family asks that a contribution be made to The North Kingstown Food Pantry, 445 School Street, North Kingstown, RI or your local food pantry. The family would like to thank Hartford Healthcare at Home for their support, but mostly our Angel, Dorothy who provided all the love, respect and care we could possibly want for our Mother.
