Thomas L. DePetrillo, 86 of North Kingstown passed away peacefully on Sunday November 1, 2026, with his family by his side. He was the devoted son of the late Frank and Fatima (Ciuccio) DePetrillo. He was the loving husband of 40 years to the late Carol A. Keefe, Esq. who proceeded him in death in 2022, and the husband of the late Rosalie “Lorraine” DePetrillo (Matthews).
Tom proudly served his country in the US Army. His hardworking and determined leadership skills were evident in his boundless dedication to the Democratic Party in Rhode Island. It was also demonstrated in his philanthropic contributions to various local organizations. He was on the board of governors for Brown Health Care for numerous years as well as the Chairman for EIS Wire & Cable a position that he has held since 1998. Tom was an avid Ham Radio operator and looked forward to time connecting with other operators, and a longtime valued member of Providence Radio Association, in Johnston. However, his greatest accomplishment and achievements would have to have been his large loving family. He was a kind and generous man that was known to take extended family members on various vacations over the years. He was a loving, and proud “Papa” to Hunter and Amber a title that was undoubtedly his favorite.
He was the father of Paul Michael DePetrillo, Erin DePetrillo and her partner Aaron Carvalho, and Thomas M. DePetrillo and his wife Carol. He was the grandfather of Amber DePetrillo and Hunter DePetrillo. One of eleven children he was the dear brother of Frank S. DePetrillo and his late wife Kathleen, Lawrence DePetrillo and his wife Nancy, Carol A. (DePetrillo) Goulet and her husband Stephen, Linda Lee (DePetrillo) Mowry, Judith A. Stracaluzi and her late husband Donald, and Paul R. DePetrillo and his wife LuAnne. He was predeceased by his dear siblings David C. DePetrillo and his living wife Jean, Nicholas (Capt’ Nick – Block Island”) DePetrillo, Anthony J. DePetrillo and his living wife Danette, and Eleanor A. Chadronet and her living husband Thomas.
