Thomas L. Macchio, Sr.

of Greenville passed away on Saturday March 3rd 2018 at Cortland Place in Greenville surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn (D’Antuono) Macchio.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Marcello) Macchio.

Thomas was a polisher for various manufacturing companies for many years before retiring and was a WW-II Army veteran.

He was the devoted father of AnnMarie Morsilli and her husband Robert, Thomas Macchio, Jr. and his wife Ivana, Anthony Macchio and his wife Rosemarie and Joanne Aucone and her husband David all of Johnston; eleven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. He was the dear brother of the late Frances D’Antuono and Michael Macchio.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday March 7, 2018 at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Ave. Providence at 11 a.m. Entombment with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Garden Mausoleum. Visiting hours are Wednesday Morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
