Thomas "Tommy" C. Mira (Miragliuolo)
Thomas "Tommy" C. Mira (Miragliuolo), 57, of Narragansett, RI and Alexandria, VA passed away suddenly March 27, 2016 at his home in Narragansett.
Tommy was born in Providence, RI on April 29, 1958, son of the late Joseph Miragliuolo and Margaret (Finn) Miragliuolo.
Tommy, a voracious reader from an early age, used that love as he progressed through his schooling at LaSalle Academy in Providence, to undergraduate work at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV and finally in to law school at Catholic University in Washington, DC, where he was selected for the Law Review. After receiving his law degree, Tommy worked for the Security and Exchange Commission in Washington, DC. Following his time with the SEC, Tommy went to the private sector and worked for a firm in Georgetown.
Upon his retirement, Tommy began to split his time between Virginia and his home state of Rhode Island so he could be closer to his family and the beaches he loved and missed. After several years, Tommy began to spend more time in Narragansett, so he could care for his mother. He proved to be an invaluable, patient, and loving care-giver. Tommy generally started his days with a thorough reading of the New York Post to keep up with the world news, and more importantly, the progress of his beloved New York Yankees.
Tommy is survived by his mother, Margaret, his sisters, Joanne (Miragliuolo) Schacht of Warwick, RI and Lucille (Miragliuolo) Capobianco of Johnston, his brother, Joseph L. Miragliuolo of Pomfret Center, CT, his nieces, Christine Singleton of East Providence, Susannah Miragliuolo of Baltimore, MD, and nephews, John Capobianco of Johnston, and Nic Miragliuolo of Sommerville, MA, and his faithful Shih Tzu, Missy. He was predeceased by his nephew Joey Capobianco of Johnston.
