80, of Cranston, passed away on December 30, 2014 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Teresa (DiOrio) Pizzi. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Thomas and Philomena (Indaglia) Pizzi, Sr. Mr. Pizzi was an Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War, and worked as a truck driver for Campanella and Cardi for thirty years as a member of Teamsters Local #251, before his retirement.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children; William T. Pizzi of Cranston, Thomas Pizzi, III and his wife Barbara of Johnston, and Phyllis Pizzi of Cranston. Thomas was the cherished grandfather of Jason, Christina, Amanda, Donald and Thomas, IV. He was the great grandfather of six. Thomas was the brother of Anthony, Vincent, Angelo and Gilda, and the late Joseph, Rocco and Frances.
His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bartholomew's Church, Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence at 10:00 a.m. Burial, with Military Honors, will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
