94, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at RI Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Norma (Colagiovanni) Santopietro. He was born in Providence, a son of the late Albert and Lena (Piagenti) Santopietro. Mr. Santopietro was the owner and operator of Frank's Auto Top. He served in the US Army during World War II with the rank of Master Sergeant in Europe and Egypt.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Deborah St. Peter and her husband John Heathcote of AZ, Marcia LoPresti and her husband Kenneth of Cranston and Norma Berardis and her husband Edward McDonald of Warwick. He was also the cherished grandfather of Joelle, Johnnie, Justin, Kendra and Kyle; great grandfather of Harrison and Maddox; dear brother of Angelina Santopietro of Johnston. Thomas was the loving father of the late Thomas A. Santopietro and brother of the late Alfred and Hugo Santopietro and Josephine Sgambato and Adele Cipolla.
His funeral will be held on Monday at 10:30 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in St. Mark's Church, Garden City, Cranston. Burial with military honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Sunday 4-7 pm.
