Toni Marie Vere

51, of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at home. She was the beloved wife of seven years to John R.Vere. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Oneta (Adams) Spivey. Toni was a taxi driver for Airport Taxi Company for twenty-five years. She was an avid fisherwoman and touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Toni was truly a loving and giving spirit. Besides her husband she is survived by her loving children, Rondale Spivey, Jason Spivey, both of Providence, and Laurie Ankoma of Gilroy, CA. Toni was the cherished grandmother of Maddox Spivey-Populus, Jason Spivey, Jr., and Noah Spearman. She was the sister of Ronald H. Thompson and his wife Dianna, Loretta L. Brown, all of Providence. Oines E. Thompson of Woonsocket, Joseph N. Thompson of Pawtucket, Lawrence J. Thompson of Portland, OR, Melvin Spivey of Providence, Clarence Spivey of Cranston, Diane Spivey of Providence, Beverly Miller of Washington, DC., and Harold Lee Wilkinson of Wake Forest, NC. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday evening at 8:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be private.
