91, of Cranston, passed away on Monday October 23, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Cucca) Cataldi for 69 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Francesco and Rosa (Lanzi) Cataldi. Ugo was the owner of Carter’s Ltd. in Pawtucket for many years before retiring. He was a WW-II Army veteran.
Besides his wife he was the devoted father of Roberta Simone and her husband Anthony Jr. of Cranston; loving grandfather of Brianna Sabitoni and her husband Jay, Anthony III and Adina Vota and her husband SSG Donald; dear brother of Teresa Saravo of Cranston and the late Julio, Albert, Angelo, Nello and Louis Cataldi, Madeline Stoppello and Marie Nastari. He was the brother in-law of Ida Cataldi of Johnston and beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston on Friday at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mark’s Church Garden City Cranston at 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Special Olympics RI, Memo: Jeffrey S.
