Ulysse "Chip" N. Lichty

 79, of West Warwick passed away on Monday February 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Sharon (Bubar) Lichty for 53 years. Born in Providence on March 4, 1946, he was the son of the late Antoine and Rita (Pelletier) Lichty. Chip proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 4 years. Mr. Lichty was the owner of C & R Worldwide Logistics which he built with his daughter Renee O. Wandyes. Chip was an avid golfer and early in his career he even won the league championship at West Warwick Country Club for American Legion Post 2. His love for the game of golf has been passed down to his grandchildren. He also enjoyed visiting the casino and playing cards with family. Chip loved swimming, going to the beach and traveling with his wife as often as possible. At the age of 23, he bought his first royal blue corvette. After that, he pursued his passion for corvettes and bought five more. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by his two daughters; Kimberly Hannigan (Patrick J.) of Smithfield and Renee’ O. Wandyes of Glocester; his four grandchildren; Jack and Matthew Hannigan, Nathan and Michael Wandyes and his sister Claudette A. Archambault of West Warwick. He was also a loving brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, godfather, and friend to many. 

His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:45am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, West Warwick at 11am. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Friday 4-7pm.
