Umberto 'Al' Zannini

89, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. Al was the beloved husband of Nellie (Brugnoli) Zannini. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Carmela (Petteruti) Zannini. Mr. Zannini was a master electrician for Standard Electric, for many years, before his retirement. Al was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during WWII. Besides his wife Nellie, he is survived by his loving son Steven Zannini and his wife Torie of Cranston. Al was also the father of the late Michael Zannini. He was the cherished grandfather of Christine Schneider, Jess, Chris, Tom, Rob, Adam, Matt and Damien Zannini. Al was the great-grandfather of ten. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Home Service on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial, with Military Honors, will take place in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
