Veronica "Ronnie" (Hovsepian) Nahigian

93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 1, 2026. She was born in Allston, Massachusetts on July 22, 1932 to the late Virginia (Tashjian) Shanazarian and the late Joseph Hovsepian, and was wife for almost 70 years to the late Leon T. Nahigian.

Ronnie was an at home mom and homemaker most of her adult life with the occasional assistance to her mother’s stone setting business. She was a member of St. Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Church where she served on the Woman’s Guild for many years. She was also a long-time member of the Daughters of Vartan, Providence, when she cherished being named Mother of the Year in May 2016. Ronnie valued her many friendships superseded only by her love for family.

She is survived by her children Linda Pascale and Kenneth and wife Colleen Nahigian, grandchildren Derek Pascale and wife Justine, Alex Nahigian and wife Flana, Alyssa Gregoire and husband Ryan, Carlotta Trapassi and wife Brittany, and Sophia Trapassi and fiancé Tony Laymon. She has two great grandchildren Adelynn and Eloise Pascale and was a loving cousin and aunt to many. She enjoyed playing cards, playing golf and especially entertaining family and friends; all of whom will miss her very much and loved her dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Thursday, July 9th at 11 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, followed by burial at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. VISITING HOURS are Thursday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to funeral service at church.
