Providence - Vincent "Vinny" Fraioli, 87 of 210 Isabella Avenue, Providence, RI passed away peacefully at home this past Sunday. Born January 14, 1928 in Albany, New York he was the son of Constanzo and Caroline Fraioli of Italy, brother of the late Frank Fraioli of Cranston, RI and Mario Fraioli of Roccasecca, Italy. Vinny, a Navy veteran served on the USS Daytona and the USS Noa respectively, beginning in 1946. Vinny worked as a baker for the A & P Bakery of Cranston, RI for 25 years and is a long time member of the Bakery and Confectionery Union. Upon the closing of the A & P, he began work in 1977 at William & Anderson Providence which later was sold to Jed Industries. He held a maintenance supervisor position for both leading up to his retirement in 1988. On October 16, 1948 he married the love of his life the late Dorothy E. Fraioli (Ferri) of Providence. He is survived by 2 sons, Vincent A. Fraioi of N. Kingston, RI, Richard "Fri" Fraioli of Haverhill, MA (formally of Providence) including 2 niece's and 5 nephews, Marie, Ann, Mario, Frank, Joey, Johnny and Alan Fraioli of Cranston, RI. Daughter-in-laws Debbie and Diane Fraioli. A devoted grandfather of Juliana, Richard, Alex, Robert & Derek Fraioli and a great grandfather of Alessandra & Luca Wilson. Vinny's everlasting love for his grandchildren including his jesting and wit with all he came in contact with throughout his life will be remembered and missed by all. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
