Vincent M. Jackvony

born on June 18, 1945, in Providence, RI, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, leaving behind a legacy marked by devotion to family and community.

Vinnie's early years were defined by a tight-knit family, growing up as the beloved son of the late Vincent "Flat" and Adele "Della" (Tortolani) Jackvony. He was a lifelong resident of Johnston and his fondest memories were of his days in Thornton where he was surrounded by extended family and friends.

Vinnie earned his associates degree from Johnson & Wales University and served in the United States Army Reserves. He spent most of his career as a customs broker at JF Moran. Throughout his life, he also worked at the family bars and restaurants; including Sonny Russo’s Restaurant & Lounge in Cranston, the Wonder Bar in Providence, the Villa DiGiorgio Banquet Facility in West Warwick, and most recently at Spirito’s Restaurants in East Providence and Providence - where patrons knew him as “Uncle Vin”.

Vinnie's love for community shone most brightly in his years as a Johnston Little League coach, where he not only guided young athletes on the field but also served as League President. He took great pride in helping shape the character and sportsmanship of countless children in his hometown, many of whom remember his steadfast encouragement and warmhearted leadership.

At the center of Vinnie's life was his cherished family. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Patricia A. Jackvony, whose memory remained ever present in his heart. Vinnie was a loving father to his son Vinnie M. Jackvony, Jr. and his wife Alicia of Hope and daughter Jenna Marchal and her husband Albert “Bear” of Barrington.

Vinnie reveled in the joys his grandchildren: Gracyn and Maddox Jackvony, and Will and Adele Marchal, each of whom brought light and pride to his days. He was a supportive brother to his sisters Debbie Iannucci of North Providence and Gerry Spirito of Johnston, and a beloved uncle to David and Greg Spirito. The bonds Vinnie fostered with his extended family and friends were a testament to his generosity and unwavering loyalty.

His funeral will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 10am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Rocco’s Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston.
