Vincenza "Chinse" F. (Ruggieri) Mancini

Chinse passed away peacefully at Bethany Home of RI on Saturday, May 7, 2016 with her devoted daughter, Barbara, and son-in-law, Kenny by her side.  She was the wife of the late Alfred Mancini Jr. for 47 years.  Born in Cranston on April 5, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Sylvia (Pezzuco) Ruggieri, and a life-long resident of Cranston until recently.

Chinse is survived by her loving children, Barbara Ruscetta and husband, Kenneth, of Seekonk, MA, Richard Mancini of Lady Lake, FL, and Alfred Mancini of West Greenwich, RI.  She was the proud grandmother of six grandsons, and great-grandmother of six.  She was the dear sister of Louis Ruggieri and Anna Oakes, both of Cranston; and the late Marietta Palumbo, Virginia Palumbo, Palmina Centofante, Concetta Crouse, Amelia Vecchiarino, and Salvatore Ruggieri.

Chinse will be remembered always for her laughter, her kind and generous nature, her love of cooking and baking for family and friends, and her special holiday and family gatherings.  She will be greatly missed.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday 5-8 pm.
