VINCENZO SPERLONGANO

91, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the beloved husband of sixty-nine years to Giovanna (Capuano) Sperlongano. Born in Mondragone, Caserta, Italy he was a son of the late Pietro and Carmela (Papa) Sperlongano. Vincenzo worked as a mason in the construction industry for various companies in the Providence area. He was also employed by the former Trifari Jewelry Company before his retirement. He was a member of St. Mary's Feast Society. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, Carmela Larghi and her husband Giordano of Switzerland, Peter Sperlongano and his wife Maria of Cranston, Pasquale Sperlongano and his wife JoAnne of Coventry, and Salvatore Sperlongano and his wife Lisa of Warwick. He was the cherished grandfather of ten and the great-grandfather of nine. Vincenzo was the brother of Lucia DeMartino of Johnston, Salvatore Sperlongano of CA, and the late Pasquale Sperlongano, Emelia Natale, Gulia Miscolino, and Virginia Del Prete. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight Street, Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
