Violanda 'Yola' Izzi

90, formerly of Johnston, died March 12, 2016. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Antonio (Scungio) Izzo. She worked for the former Imperial Knife Company of Providence for 42 years before retiring in 1988.
She was the sister of the late Filomena Spina, Lena Giorgio, Nancy Poupolo, Clara Pietros, Eleanor, Phillip, Joseph, Michael, Anthony, Domenic, Louis and Mary Izzo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 9:30 am in St. Brigid's Church, Johnston. Burial will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: St. Brigid's Church, 1231 Plainfield St, Johnston, RI 02919.
