88, of Cranston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward G. Buco. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Soscia) Paparelli. Virginia was a dedicated communicant of St. Mary’s Church. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Feast Society, the Cranston Senior Center and studied Tai Chi for nineteen years.
Virginia is survived by her loving children, Deborah Thurber of Sarasota, FL, Guy Buco of Warwick and his former wife Donna, Joseph Buco and his companion Cheryl Feeley of Cranston, and was the mother of the late Bernadette A. Turchetta and James E. Buco. She was the cherished grandmother of Necole (Thurber) Jacoppi and her husband John, Guy Jr., Laura (Buco) Abatiello and her husband Joseph, Michael Buco,and Tiffany Turchetta, and the great-grandmother of Spencer Jacoppi. She was the sister of the late Theresa Caliri, Lucy Cosper, Mary Dettore, Marjorie Voccola and Rosario Paparelli.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Friday, March 3, 2017, 4-8 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.
