93, of Providence, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late John Cotoia. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert L. and Aplhonsine (St. Peter) Blais.
She is survived by her loving children, Joseph Cotoia and his wife Frances of North Scituate, John Cotoia and his wife Paula of Cranston, Anthony Cotoia and his wife Nancy of Scituate, Nancy Court and her husband Dennis of Cranston, and the late Donald Cotoia. Virginia was the cherished grandmother of eight, the great-grandmother of seven, and the great great-grandmother of one great great-grandson. Virginia was the sister of Dorothy, Jeannette, and Ed Blais.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence.
Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Thursday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Bartholomew's Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence, RI 02909.
