Virginia M. (Navaretta) Dalo

93, of Johnston, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Morgan Health Center, Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Edmund N. Dalo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Veronica (Remaka) Navaretta.

Virginia worked in sales for various companies, including The Outlet Co. Known as the life of the party, she took great joy in cooking and baking, especially for her family and during holiday gatherings. Her family affectionately knew her as “Grandma Chickie.”

She is survived by her loving son, Kenneth E. Dalo, and his wife, Ann Marie, of Johnston. She was the cherished Grandma Chickie to Kenneth, Edmund, and Michael Dalo. Virginia was predeceased by her son, the late Edmund Dalo, and his wife, the late Marilyn Dalo, as well as by one grandchild.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, Aug 5th, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, Providence. Burial will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
