91, of Estero, FL, formerly of Clearwater, FL and Narragansett, RI passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016, at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice, Bonita Springs, FL. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert DeCristofano. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Susan (Annotti) Pulverenti. Mrs. DeCristofano was a nurse at Miriam Hospital for 25 years until her retirement.
Virginia is survived by her loving children, Albert DeCristofano Maj. NPPD, RET., and his wife Janet of N Smithfield and Ann Sullivan, and her husband Robert of Estero, FL. She was the cherished grandmother of Stephen Penta and his wife, Margaret, Sgt.Albert DeCristofano,PPD, and his wife Chrissy, James DeCristofano; great-grandmother of Domenic and Ava DeCristofano; step great-grandmother of Jorry Powery, Gustavo Londono; sister of the late Alfred Pulvie.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road (Rte. 1A), Narragansett, on Friday at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in St. Mary Star of the Sea, Narragansett. Burial will take place in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS will be held on Thursday from 4-7pm.
