Virginia E. (Forte) DiOrio

of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph DiOrio.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late George and Frances (O’Brien) Forte.

Virginia was the devoted mother of Trish Heim, David V. DiOrio and his wife Shondrya, and the late Joseph A. DiOrio; loving grandmother of Kelsey Heim, Emily DiOrio and Joseph DiOrio; and dear sister of John Forte, Patricia O’Hearn and the late George, Robert, James, William and Francis Forte.  Affectionately called Auntie Ginny, she was the favorite aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Monday, January 9th at 9 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 139 Ocean Ave., Cranston, followed by burial at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
