Virginia (Casale) Tanzi

94, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter Tanzi. Born in Barrington, she was a daughter of the late Tomasso and Assunta (Viccione) Casale. Virginia was a box assembler at Rich Paper Box Company of Johnston for many years before her retirement. She is survived by her loving children, Ann Esposito and her husband Clifford of Cranston, and Peter A. Tanzi and his wife (Rania) of Pawtucket. Virginia was the cherished grandmother of Peter, Anthony, and Dawn Tanzi, and Jennifer Ruggiero and was the great-grandmother of four. She was the sister of the late Sandy Palumbo, Lucy and Jimmy Casale, and Katherine Papa. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
