83, of Johnston, passed away on Tuesday March 31, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Dolores (Giannini) Williams for 59 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Frank and Elsie (Van Wormer) Williams.
Walter worked as a supervisory foreman at the Wardwell Braiding Company for many years before his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Walter served as a Eucharistic minister at St. Rocco's Church and was a member of the St. Rocco's Bowling League. He was Past President of the St. Rocco's Holy Name Society and a past coach and manager of the St. Rocco's Little League team.
Besides his devoted wife he is survived by his loving daughter, Cheryl Ann Williams of Cranston, son-in-law Vincent DiCarlo of Providence, and sister Maryann Pennacchia of Johnston. He was the brother of the late Frank Williams of California.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial with Military Honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Monday Morning from 8 - 10 a.m.
