Wayne J. Manni

72, of Attleboro, MA passed away peacefully on October 26, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of Marcia A. (Castellani) Manni for thirty-seven years.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Marie (Puleo) Manni.

He received a bachelor’s degree from Roger Williams University.

Wayne was employed as a police officer with Amtrak Police Department and retired after 42 years of service in 2018. Wayne had a love for enjoying good food at the best restaurants, spending time on the beach, family trips to Cape Cod, being a die hard New England sports fan and doing what he did best, being the best papa in the world. He had a way of leaving a memorable impression on anyone he met either by his kind heart or sense of humor. Wayne was simply the most fun loving person everyone just enjoyed being around.

Besides his wife, he leaves his loving daughter, Melissa A. (Manni) Desautel of Lincoln; three siblings, Steven L. Manni and his wife Debra of Saunderstown, Maria Gunson and Robert Moll of Cranston and Lori J. Manni of Cranston; two cherished grandsons, Michael and Dominic Desautel; and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 10am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Mary Church, Cranston Street, Cranston.  Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery.  VISITING HOURS Wednesday from 4-8pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
