WILLIAM J. 'BILL' DESMARAIS

65, of Warwick, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at RI Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Jo-Ann (Fascia) Desmarais. They were married for the past 39 years. He was born in Providence, a son of the late Eugene and Catherine (Leamy) Desmarais. Mr. Desmarais was a Dispatcher at Bell Atlantic for 25 years until his retirement. He was also a Vietnam Army veteran. Bill was a member and secretary of Masonic Lodge Thomas Smith Webb #43, The RI Shrine, Knights Templar-Saint John's Commandery #1, Oriental Band, and 32nd Degree Scottish Rite of Cranston, RI.
Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by his loving children, William C. Desmarais of Warwick, Michaela C. Holroyd and her husband James of Warwick, Laurie A. Desmarais and her boyfriend Jamie Longolucco of Cranston, Christopher M. Desmarais and his fiancAC.e Nicole Bergeron of Warwick; his cherished grandchildren, Victoria, Madison, Connor, Riley and his dear siblings, Charlotte Brooks of South Kingstown, Kathleen Trudell, Maureen Nichols and Joseph and James Desmarais all of Warwick. He was also the brother of the late Robert Desmarais.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Bartholomew's Church, Laurel Hill Ave., Providence. Burial with military honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 4-8 pm.
