William J. Lynch, Jr

89, of Narragansett, RI formerly of Falmouth, MA passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at South County Hospital, Wakefield. He was the beloved husband of the late Ann Claire (Chandley) Lynch. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late William J. Lynch, Sr. and Anna (Collins) Lynch. William along with his late wife were the co-owners of the Trade Winds Motel in Falmouth, MA for 20 years before retiring in 1984. He was a US Navy veteran serving during WW II. William was a 4th degree Knight and member of St. Francis Council, North Kingstown. He was a graduate of St. Raphael's Academy and Providence College, Class of 1957. He was a volunteer for Home and Hospice Care of RI, South County Hospital, Rhode Island Tinnitus Association, and the Providence College Alumni Association.

He is survived by his loving children, William J. Lynch, III of Narragansett, Michael P. Lynch and his wife Gina of Westerly, and Erin A. Lynch of Marstons Mills, MA. William was the cherished grandfather of Andrew, Alexandra, Danica, Marissa, Philip, and Matthew Lynch. He was the brother of the Rev. Cornelius B. Lynch of Pawtucket, John P. Lynch of North Smithfield and the late Matthew, Margaret, and Dennis Lynch.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Road, Narragansett. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-7 p.m. in the Nardolillo Funeral Home, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road (Rt.1A) Narragansett. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
