William P. Magness

68, of Port Richey, FL, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, Tampa, FL. He was the husband of the late Carol A (Proia) Magness. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Vernon and Doris (LaPierre) Magness. William was a Registered Nurse at Bayonett Hospital, Port Richey, FL until his retirement. He was an US Navy Veteran serving in Vietnam with the 1st Division as a Corpsman. He is survived by his son Scott A. Magness and his wife Melissa of Cranston. William was the brother of the late Doris Stepinski. He is also survived by one niece and two nephews. Funeral from the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Sts. Rose and Clement Parish, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Monday 4-8 p.m.
