William "Billy" V. Aznavourian

of Providence, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at RI Hospital in Providence.  Born in Providence, he was the devoted son of the late Vahram and Beatrice (Shishmanian) Aznavourian.

Billy graduated from Brown University in 1953 with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. While working at General Electric, Billy obtained a master’s degree in chemistry from RPI and Union College.  After leaving GE, he worked for Foxboro Company (manufacturers of process control instrumentation) as a sales engineer until his retirement in 1985.

He was a U.S. Army veteran and member of Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Church; Armenian General Benevolent Union; and Knights of Vartan.

Billy was the dear brother of the late Garo Aznavourian and his wife Alice of PA; loving uncle of Karen Cannuscio of PA, Kristine Danelz of IL and Mark Aznavourian of CA; and dear cousin of Ann Mushmushian of CA.

His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 19th at 10 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Church, followed by burial at North Burial Ground, Providence.  VISITING HOURS are SATURDAY MORNING IN THE CHURCH from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
