Winifred (Winnie) McGinity

a beloved mother and friend, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on May 9, 2025. Born on August 22, 1937, in London, England, Winifred brought warmth and kindness to all who knew her. 

Winnie's career was marked by her dedication and hard work. She enjoyed working at Dave's Marketplace in Warwick and later at the North Kingstown location before retiring at age 80. Her interactions with customers and colleagues exemplified her friendly nature and commitment to serving her community.

Throughout her life, Winnie embraced hobbies that brought her joy. She loved to watch Animal Planet, particularly enjoying the expertise of Dr. Pol. Summer evenings found her at concerts at the Narragansett Town Beach and Gazebo, where she reveled in the music and camaraderie. A fan of Asian cuisine, she cherished dining at New Dragon, where she savored the flavors of her favorite dishes with friends and family.

Winifred is survived by her daughter, Christine Hull, and her husband Terrance; and her son, Michael McGinity, and his husband William LaCivita. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert McGinity; her parents, Bernard and Christine (Veazie) Coll; and her sisters, Christine O'Doherty and Kathleen Barry.

VISITING HOURS Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 10am -12pm, followed by a funeral service at 12pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett.
