90, of Cranston died peacefully surrounded by her entire family and friends on Dec. 1, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital/Jane Brown. She was the wife of Frank Caramadre for 56 years. Daughter of the late Giuseppe and Oliva (Caramadre) Prata. Mother to Vincent, US Army LTC Anne, Joseph and his wife Paula, former US Army Captain John and his wife Janet and Paula all of Cranston and Anthony of Warwick. Proud Nonna of Michael, Amelia, Daniel, Nicholas, Gina, Michelle and Maria. Sister of Lina DiPietro and the late Tomasso and Rev. Dr. Emidio Prata of the The Congregation of the Mission of St. Vincent dePaul. Beloved by and devoted to many nieces , nephews and lifelong friends. Teresa was born in Pontecorvo, Italy and became an elementary school teacher. After surviving WWII, she immigrated to Montreal, Quebec and worked as a gifted dress maker. She married in 1957 and moved to RI where she settled happily as a homemaker for the remainder of her long life. Teresa's faith, warmth, compassion, charisma and selflessness drew many people to love her. Her friendships were dear and her hospitality had no boundaries. Her greatest joy came from being surrounded by her grandchildren and loved ones in prayer. Teresa was a dedicated parishioner of St. Mary's Church, Cranston. She was a strong defender of life and devout follower of Our Lady of Fatima (1917), Padre Pio, Mother Teresa and Mother Angelica. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:45am from the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Holy Apostles Church, Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Friday 4-8pm.
