Yolanda (Tiberio) DiSciullo

87, of Providence, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Cortland Place in Greenville. She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas DiSciullo. Born in Villa Santa Maria, Italy she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (DeCicco) Tiberio. She came to the United States in 1952 and was married 60 years.

Yolanda worked as a seamstress for the former Robert's Manufacturing for 26 years. She was also employed by Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in the Dietary Department for 15 years and then served as a volunteer in that department until she was 82. She was devoted to her family, and gave to others unconditionally and was always there to give her love. Her family was everything to her. She loved babysitting her beautiful grandchildren, was an avid gardener, enjoyed cooking for the family, and always put everyone's needs before her own. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a member of the St. Ann Church Prayer Shawl Ministry, where she continued to knit hundreds of prayer shawls and blankets into her 80's, for the church and for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving sons, Vincent A. DiSciullo and his wife Linda of Lincoln, and Joseph N. DiSciullo of Marco Island, FL; 7 cherished grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; dear sisters Filicetta Tiberio of Italy, and Lilia Beneduce of Bronx, NY. She was the sister of the late Elda Tiberio, Ninetta Collecchia, Menina Ficaglia, and Joseph Tiberio who was killed during WW II.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOILILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Friday morning from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 245 Waterman St. Suite 306, Providence, R.I. 02906.
