Yolanda Estelita Guinto Loyola

93 of Bristol passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on December 24, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late George and Matilda (Morales) Fajardo. She was the beloved wife of the late Lenoncio Lirio, and the late Amado Loyola.

She was raised in the Philippines always wanting to move her family back to America. She worked continuously alongside her first husband to make that reality happen, settling with her nine children and her husband Lenoncio, shortly before his passing in 1979 in Rhode Island. She was a phlebotomist for many years dedicated to her profession, her innate nature as a caregiver made working for the Rhode Island Veterans Home in Bristol, was a calling more than a job.

She was always eager for the next invitation to a party, where she reveled in picking the perfect outfit. Her fashion sense was unmatched, and a sense of great pride. The joy that she took from the event was attributed to being around her family and friends. Her best moments were those memories that she created with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. If she wasn’t with family, she would most definitely have been seated at a slot machine at one of the local casinos. This was her favorite pastime, besides making sure that everyone was well fed, whether you were hungry or not.

She leaves behind her legacy of nine children Henry Lirio, Zeny Rhyner, Alex Lirio, Marlon Lirio, Noel Lirio, Edgar Lirio, Ruby Irwin, Angelica Lirio, and Bobby Lirio. She was the devoted grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was the half-sister of Illena Guinto Cruz in the Philippines, several nieces and nephews. She was the stepmother of Amado Loyola, Jr., Phino Loyola, Gene Loyola, Lino Loyola and the step grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Her funeral will leave at 9:15 am on Tuesday January 6, 2026, from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
