Albert Aurecchia
94, of Johnston, RI and Naples, FL, passed away on May 17, 2023.  He was the beloved husband of Hedy (Lowy) Aurecchia.  Born in Johnston, he was the son of the late Antonio and Eufrasia (Iannuccilli) Aurecchia.  Mr. Aurecchia was a graduate of Bryant College and received his master’s degree in education at RI College.  He was a guidance counselor at Cranston High School East, a US Air Force veteran and a volunteer firefighter with Johnston Hose 1.

He is survived by his loving children: Beth Aurecchia Anderson and her husband Kevin of Virginia, David E Aurecchia of Johnston and Lisa E Aurecchia of Providence.  He was also the cherished grandfather of Molly Anderson and the late Ian Anderson.  He was the uncle of Dennis Morrill, Dr. Steven Aurecchia and Roseann DiRaimo St. Godard. Al was predeceased by his siblings: Walter, Luigi, Adolph, Americo, and Dean Aurecchia; Delmazia Cute, Elissa Okerblom and Anna Morrill DiRaimo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, 11am at St. Rocco’sChurch, Johnston followed by a private burial in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Aurecchia Scholarship Fund for Saint Rocco’s School: Aurecchia Scholarship Fund, Saint Rocco’s Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.
