Alice Maria (Andrade) Burrows, aged 58, passed away peacefully from cancer on Saturday, October 13th, 2018.Despite it all, she lived a gracious and courageous life until the very end. Alice was born June 8, 1960, in Queluz, Portugal and was the daughter of Victor Andrade and Beatriz Alexandre.

Alice thoroughly enjoyed hiking outdoors and painting nature. She began her artistic talents at Shea High School (Class of 79’) and pursued many creative outlets throughout her life. She received several awards and recognition for her art and photography.

Alice continued her education by attending Rhode Island College, where she pursued her Bachelor's in Psychology. She was beloved by her students and peers as Career Advisor in the Experiential Education & Career Services for Johnson and Wales University.

In 2004, Alice married the love of her life Steven Burrows at Point Judith Lighthouse. They both shared a passion for the beach and adventure and would often be found basking in the sun or climbing a mountainside. Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Christopher Ferreira of Westerly and Jessica (Ferreira) Smith and her husband Samuel of Pawtucket; she is also survived by her loving step-children, Michael and Alexander Burrows of Narragansett. She was the sister of Paul Andrade of Newport and Sandra (Andrade) Camara of Pawtucket. Alice was the cherished grandmother of Reagan Pauline Riley, daughter of Brooke Riley and Christopher Ferreira.

The wake and visitation for Alice Maria Burrows, who died early Saturday is scheduled for Thursday, October 18th, from 5-8 p.m. at Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Ave, Cranston, RI 02910.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Christian Burial Mass on October 19th at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Church, 32 Lawn Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02860
