Ana Gertrudiz Hernandez

98, of Providence, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 4, 2019. Born in the Dominican Republic, she was a daughter of the late Miguel Hernandez and Ana Luisa Taveras.

Ana was a seamstress in her native country and in the United States for over 40 years. She was also a parishioner at St Charles of Borromeo Church for many years. Ana was the loving and dedicated mother of Mario Hernandez, Julio Moronta, Ana M. Rodriguez, Virginia M. Nuñez, Alberto C. Moronta, Carmen M. Peña, Felipe A. Moronta and the late Angelica Aquino; cherished grandmother of 27 grandchildren, great grandmother of 29 and 2 great great-grandchildren.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday at 8:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 178 Dexter St. Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
